This talk is designed to ensure that delegates have up to date knowledge in order to sustain life in real-life medical emergencies that are commonly experienced in a general dental practice.
Learning Aims
Enable the early recognition and management of deterioration in a patient that can become medically compromised during their dental treatment - Discuss how to use a patient's mandatory drugs during a medical emergency.
Learning Objectives
Have an increased awareness of management of medical emergencies within the dental practice - Understand the mandatory audit processes for emergency drugs to use in medical emergencies - Know how to deal with an unconscious patient - Be able to recognise and manage suspected sepsis.
