On this course, you’ll master both technical skills and
patient care with the latest cutting-edge technology. We'll prepare you to
excel in the future of dentistry. As a qualified clinical dental technician,
you'll be a vital member of the dental team. You'll directly contribute to
patient health and treatment success.
You’ll develop hands-on clinical skills in our modern
phantom head room, equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual tools. You’ll
also work with leading CAD/CAM technology. You’ll create 3D intraoral scans,
design custom restorations with advanced dental software, and complete the
process using 3D printing. This mirrors the most current techniques in the
dental profession.
You will also gain valuable experience treating real
patients at our on-site Dental Clinic and
at regional Dental Education Centres (DECs).
On our Clinical Dental Technology (CDT) course, you'll learn
alongside BSc
Dental Therapy and Bachelor
of Dental Surgery (BDS) students. You'll learn clinical, technical and
professional skills together. This will prepare you for your future career in a
dental team.
On completion of the course, you will be qualified to work
as a General Dental Council registered Clinical Dental Technician. This will
allow you to work directly with denture patients and provide support alongside
dentists for more advanced cases. As a result of the technical and clinical
skills you will gain, you can expect to significantly increase your employment
prospects and earning potential.
