Dr Bertrand (Bertie) Napier is a Board member and immediate past president of The BAPD (British Association of Private Dentistry). A GDP for 35 years, he is joint practice principal in a 100% private practice. Over the years, his leadership roles in the profession have seen him recognised in Dentistry Magazine’s top fifty most influential people in the UK dental profession. With extensive experience as a clinician, he is well-placed to be the strong advocate he is for the dental team and for quality dentistry. Having worked in a dental insurance-based system for around 10 years, followed by the NHS for just over 4 years and now in private practice for over 20 years, Bertie believes that wet-finger clinicians at all stages of their careers, need to be supported, respected, and enabled to deliver high quality care.
