
Maha Aljefri

Dr Aljefri completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) at the University of Bristol, and gained her Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MFDS RCS Ed). She then carried out core dental training in various NHS hospitals in oral and maxillofacial surgery and paediatric dentistry, managing head and neck trauma and caring for surgical inpatients, as well as working in private practice. Dr Aljefri then pursued a career in Orthodontics attending a full-time postgraduate masters programme (MSc) at King’s College London, passed with distinction and was awarded the Philip Walther prize. During this time she treated complex cases and carried out a research project on interproximal reduction in Orthodontics. Maha then gained her bi-collegiate specialist membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MOrth RCS Eng). Dr Aljefri is also an educator, having completed a postgraduate certificate in dental education (PgCert Dent Ed) to support her passion for teaching and training within the field of dentistry. Outside of Orthodontics, she enjoys horse riding and perfumery.
