Marco Tudts graduated as a dentist at the KULeuven in 1991. Subsequently, he followed a postgraduate course at the same university in aesthetic and prosthetic dentistry, which he successfully completed in 1994. He was part-time connected to the KULeuven for 12 years as a consultant aesthetic-prosthetic dentistry with as special research topics complex rehabilitations. In 1996 he started a multidisciplinary private practice Cosmident with a special interest in complex rehabilitations of heavily mutilated teeth, which he still runs today. From 2000-2004 he followed an intensive international program at NY Montefiore Medical center which led to a Master of Science in Dentistry Implantology. In 2008 he opened a Look over Shoulder Training Facility for dentists with a specific interest in implantology, 3D technology, CAD CAM, 3D guided surgery. He is the founder of the BIOMET 3D Guided Navigator© system ( 2008) , Edelweiss CAD CAM Bloc © (2021 ) , Key opinion leader for Ivoclar, Southern implants , Straumann and Dentsply Sirona CEREC Certified trainer. In 2015, at the request of Prof. Dr. Hugo de Bruyn, he was asked to become a staff member at the Department of Periodontology and Implantology UGent, Belgium where his research topics are focused on implantology and digital dentistry and currently completing another PhD about a new concept of 3D Guided Surgery.
