Philip Preshaw

Professor Philip Preshaw is President of the British Society of Periodontology, and Dean of Dentistry and Professor of Periodontology at the University of Dundee. He is a registered specialist in Periodontics and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. His main research interests are investigations of the pathogenesis of periodontal disease, and links between diabetes and periodontitis. He has been awarded a UK National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) National Clinician Scientist Fellowship, a Distinguished Scientist Award from the International Association for Dental Research, and King James IV Professorship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
