Phil Tomson is a Head of Endodontics at the University of Birmingham and is Head of Service for Endodontics with Birmingham Community Healthcare Foundation. He carries out biological and translational research in tissue regeneration / engineering of the pulp and periradicular tissues, diagnostic techniques and clinical outcomes in vital pulp therapy. He is President of the British Endodontic Society, Head Examiner for the MEndo RCS Eng examination, a member of the Editorial Board of the International Endodontic Journal and Editor of the BES Good Endodontic Practice Guide.
