Learning Content
Posterior-first strategy for managing posterior maxillary atrophy without sinus lifting. By using strategic anchorage in dense cortical bone and trans-sinus pathways, posterior support is restored, allowing preservation of anterior teeth often sacrificed in All-on-4/All-on-X. The technique reduces treatment time, morbidity, and surgical complexity while delivering predictable stability.
Aims
To present an innovative, posterior-first clinical strategy for managing severe posterior maxillary atrophy and sinus pneumatization without sinus lifting. The session aims to demonstrate how strategic posterior solutions can avoid unnecessary All-on-X treatment while preserving natural dentition through fast, predictable and minimally invasive protocols.
Learning Outcomes
- By the end of this session, delegates will understand posterior maxillary anatomy, assess atrophic posterior maxilla, identify cases suitable for avoiding sinus lifting, apply a posterior-first approach, utilise strategic implant anchorage, and preserve natural dentition while reducing surgical complexity, treatment time, and patient morbidity.
