Typical cases of periodontitis will be presented to help you diagnose, classify, identify risk factors, and provide an initial periodontal prognosis; along with management guidance for periodontal disease. Also, limitations of restorations for patients with dental implants and the importance of collaboration between dentists, hygienists/therapists and periodontists for long-term maintenance.
Aims
The lecture will present and discuss a clinical ‘flowchart’ for the management of a typical periodontal patient from diagnosis, prognostication and treatment planning to step-by step treatment and maintenance care focusing on the role of dental practitioner and their collaboration with a periodontist.
