Delegates will have a broader understanding of oral cancer through the lens of a dental nurse and the part that carers play in early detection and prevention and the need to understand the cancer journey, including post-treatment, in survivorship and end of life.
Aims
To provide a broader understanding of mouth cancer, the causative factors, and the long-term effects of the disease.
Learning Outcomes
- Describe the treatments available - Identify the side effects of the treatments - Reflect on the role of the dental nurse in mouth cancer awareness and the journey of a patient diagnosed with mouth cancer.
