Learning Content
Overview of athlete oral health challenges and early demineralisation. Screening and detection protocols. Risk assessment linked to sports nutrition and lifestyle. Clinical workflows and decision points. Use of CURODONT Repair and biomimetic peptides. Case examples demonstrating regenerative, minimally invasive care.
Aims
To explore the use of biomimetic peptide technology in managing early enamel lesions in high-performance athletes, and to introduce a preventative, minimally invasive approach that supports enamel regeneration, preserves tooth structure, and aligns with the demands of sports dentistry and athlete care.
Learning Outcomes
- To identify athlete-specific oral health risks and early enamel lesions. To understand screening, risk assessment, and decision-making for early caries. To explore how biomimetic peptides support enamel regeneration. To apply an early interception approach to reduce the need for restorative treatment.
