This session explores how dentists can intentionally design the career and professional identity they want to build through purpose, habits and mindset. Drawing on concepts from Atomic Habits, Start with Why and Mindset, the lecture combines personal experiences from clinical dentistry, postgraduate education, mentorship and practice leadership to provide a practical framework for growth.
Aims
To provide dentists with a practical framework for professional growth through purpose, habits and mindset. The session aims to encourage reflection on career direction, clinical development, teamwork, leadership and patient-centred care, while highlighting how consistent habits, continual learning and integrity can support long-term success and fulfilment in modern dentistry.
