The single missing tooth is one of the most common clinical manifestations encountered by dentists. The last decades have seen many important developments in the field of tooth replacement and oral rehabilitation strategies which can lead to confusion and errors in choices, compounded by aggressive commercial marketing with limited data on long-term success and complications.
Aims
The aim of this lecture will be to try and filter the ‘noise’ and present an evidence-based approach to treatment planning, decisions and clinical practice solutions regarding the single missing tooth.
