Clinicians are challenged by deep restorative margins on a daily basis. These cases can cause frustration and result in failure if the clinician is not equipped to tackle them.
This presentation will provide useful tools to restore posterior deep margins, using clinical examples and literature to support its recommendations.

Build a clear framework for diagnosing and managing deep posterior margins while protecting periodontal tissues and long-term tooth prognosis.
Reduce common errors and complications through systematic quality checks and troubleshooting.
Develop confidence in deep margin management techniques

Identify posterior restorations with deep margins and classify relative to the supracrestal tissue attachment
Differentiate when deep margins are best managed with: direct restoration, deep margin elevation, surgical crown lengthening, orthodontic extrusion, or extraction
Formulate a treatment plan for deep margins which includes isolation, haemostasis and matrixing strategies
