Alexander Goodson
Consultant Maxillofacial, Head and Neck Surgeon,

Alex is a consultant maxillofacial surgeon with NHS practice in head and neck (oral, salivary and skin cancer) surgery and complex facial reconstruction and salivary gland surgery. In private practice he additionally focusses on aesthetic facial plastic plus day-case implants for total dental rehabilitation under general anaesthetic.
Whilst based principally in the NHS at Queen Alexandra Hospital Portsmouth, he works privately at Spire Portsmouth Hospital, Ad-Nova and Medicana clinics. He is the research lead for the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is the co-lead of the facial reanimation service and core member of both the skin cancer and head and neck multidisciplinary teams at Portsmouth.
Mr Goodson is a clinical supervisor for maxillofacial surgeons in training in Wessex. He has authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications, as well as several textbooks in maxillofacial surgery. Mr Goodson is also an associate medical editor for Libri Publishing UK and a peer-reviewer for the British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
