Hamish Bury is Managing Director of Malmesbury Dental, a new private practice providing general dentistry and specialist referral services, which opened on 7 April 2026 after a 12-month journey from concept to launch. Just one year earlier, he attended the Dentistry Show with no knowledge of dental equipment, IT, compliance, CQC, planning or practice fit-out. Since then, he has led the purchase, change of use, renovation, supplier selection, recruitment, training and launch of the practice. His talk shares the honest reality of building a dental practice from scratch.
