Heidi brings over 34 years of dedicated experience to the dental nursing profession. Beginning her career as a dental nurse, she has developed a broad and deep expertise that now informs her role as a Dental Lecturer, Assessor, and Lead IQA for the Level 3 Dental Nursing Apprenticeship. For the past decade, Heidi has worked within further education and training, where she has taught across a range of curricula, including the First Aid at Work qualifications. She holds a PCET Higher Education teaching qualification from Greenwich University, assessor credentials, and the TAQA Level 4 award in both internal and external quality assurance. Heidi has also achieved post-registration qualifications in Oral Health Education and Dental Radiography, supporting her strong commitment to raising professional standards and improving patient care. With a keen interest in oral health promotion and dental forensics, she continues to champion the evolving and essential role of dental nurses within the wider dental team. Driven by a passion for education, professional development, and advocacy, Heidi is dedicated to supporting and empowering dental nurses across the UK in her role as President Elect of the Society of British Dental Nurses and further developing her work with clinicians and dental practice owners and employers.
