Janet Pickles' career began in the corridors of a hospital. Trained as an SRN and having practiced as a surgical sister, she developed a deep understanding of the medical world. In the early 1990s, Janet and husband, Christopher, founded R A Medical Services, a venture rooted in Christopher’s experience with Cyprane, a Keighley-based company who produced the Quantiflex flowmeters. R A Medical Services was born out of a shared vision to supply inhalation sedation equipment. The company, having become a market leader, Janet realised that education was developing as a key issue and now focuses on this important resource.
