Jocelyn, known as Joss, began her dental career in 1987 as a dental nurse in the Royal Navy and qualified as a dental hygienist in 1992. Since 2016, Joss has been widely published, with her article in BDJ Team ranking as the second most accessed. In 2018, she was invited to become a Clinical Ambassador for the Mouth Cancer Foundation. In 2023, Joss completed her MSc and published a peer-reviewed book that has since been reviewed in the US, Australia, and New Zealand. Her research was published in the International Journal of Dental Hygiene in 2025. She is currently President-Elect of the Mouth Cancer Foundation and will take on the Presidency in May this year. Joss feels honoured to support patients, caregivers, and professionals by providing evidence-based oral care advice.
