Owen Addison is Professor of Oral Rehabilitation and Head of Centre of Oral Clinical and Translational Sciences at King’s, where he leads in research, education, and clinical care. He qualified as a dentist in 2001, completed a PhD in Biomaterials in 2007, and Restorative specialist training in 2012. His career spans roles in Birmingham and then Canada before returning to the UK in 2019. He has secured >£10 million in research funding and published >125 papers. In 2026, he co-founded BeCertain, a spin-out focused on AI and digital oral health innovation, reflecting his commitment to translating research into real-world impact.
