Sinuba Naidu

Sinuba Naidu is a Senior Dental Officer in the Community Dental Service at Birmingham Community Healthcare Trust, with a specialised focus on managing dental anxiety, patients with additional needs (including patients with learning disability) and medically compromised patients.
After qualifying in 1996, Sinuba gained broad experience in general practice, community dental services, and oral surgery. After postgraduate fellowship, for the past 23 years, she has provided dental care for a broad range of special care patients. She is specialised in providing comprehensive dental anxiety management including behavioural management techniques, as well as the use of inhalation and intravenous sedation. She leads the anxious patient component of her service and serves as the regional lead for the clinical supervision of specialised nurses providing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Sinuba also regularly assess patients referred for domiciliary care, carrying out treatment at home or in the clinical environment after appropriate risk assessment.
In addition to her clinical work, Sinuba is an accredited British Dental Association (BDA) representative for her trust and chairs the BDA West Midlands Community Dental Services group.
